1. About the Company

• Incorporated in the year 1960
• Main raw material used was Bamboo
• Megre allotment of bamboo by government necessitated our shifting to use of hard wood
• Started using bagasse besides wood since 1984
• SPB is the first industry to use bagasse as rawmaterial for paper making.
• Govt. of India also supported the industrial move of using bagasse for paper making by giving excise concession.
• Under the leadership of SPB Asia's biggest Paper Mill 'TNPL' was installed using bagasse as the main raw material.
• Ponni Sugars and Chemicals was also installed in the near vicinity to cater to the bagasse demand of SPB.

Annual production:  1,20,000 M.T or 350 M.T per day

6 Financial Assistance

Loan amount:

Eucalyptus	:	Rs. 15,000 in 5 years in 5 installments
Casuarina	:	Rs. 20,000 in 3 years in 3 installments

Farmers have to produce, chitta , Adangal ,FMB and no objection     certificate from the nearby banks to Loan issuing Bank.
